WELCOME TO MABU...
We provide mother and baby support for young mums aged 16-24 years to maximise the chances of young mums achieving a healthy and confident transition to parenthood. We work together with the young mums along wit other professionals to ensure all their support needs and requirements are met, to enable them to achieve a positive outcome. Each young mother will have their own bedroom and a qualified identified key worker and support worker.
Parental Assessments we undertake and support the young parent through this often invasive process, which assists in helping to make the right decisions for both their futures.
MABU provides a supportive, stable and structured environment within the community for both the mums and their babies.
All staff at MABU are qualified and work with mothers and their babies with a view of achieving positive outcomes in their pregnancy and the very important first stages of becoming a mum.
Our work involves inter agency working with a vast array of agencies including midwives, health visitors, social workers, Child Protection, solicitors, sexual health outreach staff, drugs and alcohol services and others.
